You ought to be smiling, having just learned how to cut your household’s food costs and dramatically improve your family’s health. Very few actually identify the severity of eating processed foods--your government does not in any meaningful way. In fact, they confuse you by putting their bogus stamp of approval on products which contain known toxins like MSG and aspartame. They’re no beacon of good health. Beyond leading you down the path to neuro toxins and depressants and other obscure chemicals in processed foods which affect the body and brain adversely, government agencies, like schools, promote a way of eating which is pitifully outdated and mean – 12 portions of grains or cereals per day is the sort of bizarrely vague information that schools teach parents and children is the way to eat well. Poppycock! Don’t buy it! They either don’t know or don’t care about the well-being of you, your children, your friends, and families. I suspect it’s both. Ignore their advice! Foods are much more complex than these overly-simplistic government guides suggest. Not all grains and cereals were created equal and, in fact, eating certain grains like wheat in such large amounts can sometimes lead to allergies. Have you ever stopped to think about all of the allergies people have nowadays? Imagine how few allergies people had in 1970 compared to today. Today, people are sicker.
Forget using the big old oven - overspending on power. This little oven packs a punch!
The western diet is largely flawed and if we don’t change the way we eat we will go broke and get sick. Sound harsh? Well, if you’re buying food from the processed food aisles you could be spending three to four times more per calorie than if you cooked whole foods from scratch. Secondly, consuming these toxins over a lifetime will lead to illness. Just look around you. Obesity is not normal! Diabetes is not normal! Cancer is not normal! Stomach ulcers are not normal! Acne is not normal! These are all byproducts of unhealthy and certainly unthrifty living – misguided decisions. It isn’t too late to change. So do it! Cook from scratch using wholesome, farm raised ingredients that haven’t been manipulated in a lab. Learn what things cost, pay attention to the ingredients that you’re using and be critical of your household and how and what you consume. It’s the right thing to do for your wallet and for your' health.
Making a simple change today can lead to a new life – a better life. The possibilities are many for self-sufficient living and more and more people are doing it all the time. Why put the responsibility for your food in the hands of huge agri businesses operating thousands of miles from where you live? Why take that risk? If you don’t use food suppliers that are close to home you’re being foolish. If you don’t begin to prepare foods in bulk and preserve and cure them when they’re abundant, for consumption when they are expensive and scarce, then you’re being lazy. It can be done. Make the effort to learn PRACTICAL SKILLS that will help you and yours to thrive in the future. Leave something useful to your children; an understanding of how to be self-sufficient, thrifty, and healthy.
Lock in a year's worth of food for today's prices and stock pile it for future uncertainty!
