With everything else you’ve got going on this summer, preparing new and unique meals every night may be becoming a bit of a hassle. So, to avoid reaching for the take-out pizza menu a little too often than you should, and to stick to your frugal living food budget, only plan to make 4 or 5 different meals each week. What I mean by this is plan for meals with leftovers that can be eaten again or revamped into another simple dish the next night. Forget trying new frugal recipes each night and rely on some trusted, easy staples like breakfast for dinner or sandwich night.
Nobody said frugal living home cooking had to be new and exotic every single night of the week. Give yourself a break, stick to the basics and your family will stay well-nourished without the frustration or too many budget-breaking take-out nights.
