If you suffer from ragweed allergies, now is the time to do what you can to prevent the itchy, swollen, sneezy symptoms you typically experience each year.
The trick to warding off harsh effects of such allergies is to build up a tolerance to the pollens. What some swear is an effective remedy, and it’s undoubtedly frugal living friendly, is to eat raw, local honey in advance of ragweed season. This way, your body will be exposed to tiny amounts of the pollens that are prevalent in your area.
All you need to do is start by eating one teaspoon of the honey each day and slowly build up to 2 teaspoons a day when the plants are out in full force.
Then, to help reduce what symptoms you still experience, increase the amount of vitamin C in your diet and eat plenty of garlic to help reduce inflammation.
